Why RFK Jr. Doesn't See the Image of God In Autistic People

Updated: May 21

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently made comments about autism, arguing that they reflect a broader societal devaluation of disabled lives. This view, that autistic people's lives are inherently tragic because of their perceived limitations, is contrasted with the theological perspective that all humans, regardless of ability, are created in God's image and possess inherent value. Devaluing any human life, including those with autism, denies this sacred image and challenges the call to see Christ in everyone.
