WELCOME

Welcome to The Welcome Table.

Too much? Maybe. But our name matters. Our name matters because it speaks to who we are and what we’re doing. We are setting aside the shoulds and supposed-tos, and exploring what a different kind of church might look like.

We believe a church doesn’t need a sanctuary

as long as it offers sanctuary. Being human is hard, and true healing can only happen in safe and honest community. So, we show up on Sunday mornings, at prayer gatherings, and to special events as our whole selves, unfiltered and unguarded. And we know that at The Welcome Table we won’t be pushed away—we will be drawn in.

We also believe in shared ministry

where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and leadership isn’t limited to a select few. We’re less focused on programming so we can instead prioritize growing in our understanding of Jesus’s teachings of radical inclusion, fostering close relationships, and actively serving our city and the world.

We commit to a holistic approach

that honors the dignity and worth of every person. We don’t just preach love; it is the guiding principle that shapes everything we do.

Here, love isn’t conditional.

Belonging isn’t just a word.

Welcome isn’t only a greeting—it’s our name.

And our name matters.

Welcome to The Welcome Table.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are small children welcome? Is childcare available?
Children of all ages are welcome! We believe strongly that it’s important for our children to be a part of what we do, so we do not have separate childcare or Sunday School. We try to engage children in worship in a variety ways (e.g., what we call young disciple time which is like “children’s church”) and we have a table in the back of the room with coloring items and little fidget toys, recognizing that it’s hard for kids to stay focused. You’ll notice kids sitting there or with their families or each other. You can review our child safety policy here.
  • Is the church accessible?
Yes, and we are always striving to do more to ensure that everyone feels welcome and supported. Our building has a ramp leading to the front door, wide doorways, and no stairs, making it accessible to those with mobility challenges. You are welcome to temporarily park on the side of the road near the ramp for easier access. Bathrooms are also accessible, and our team is happy to assist with getting into the building or navigating the space in any way needed. For those with seeing challenges, we use a large screen during worship and make every effort to use clear, large font for all text. While we don’t currently have specialized provisions for hearing impairments, we are mindful of creating a worship environment where everyone can participate as fully as possible. We also aim to create a space that is welcoming for neurodivergent individuals. We provide fidget toys for anyone who needs them and have quiet spaces available for those who may need to step out for a moment. Our gatherings often include moments of collective meditation and breathing exercises to help us all settle our minds and hearts, offering a rhythm that accommodates diverse needs. If you have specific accessibility needs or suggestions, we’d love to hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Brandon Green so we can learn how to make our space and gatherings as inclusive as possible.
  • How big is the church?
We typically have around 20-25 people in attendance on Sundays, but our community is a little larger than it may appear. Some folks join us online, some come occasionally, and others are here every week—and that’s okay. At The Welcome Table, we believe being part of a community isn’t about how often you show up for worship. You’re welcome here no matter what, and your place in our community isn’t defined by attendance.
  • May a visitor receive communion?
Yes. Anyone and everyone is welcome at Christ’s table. You don’t need to be baptized, you don’t need anything. If you feel like you want to celebrate Christ’s love in community with us, then please join. All are welcome.
  • What should I do if I have more questions?
Ask anyone present and if they don’t know, they’ll point you to who does. You can always reach out by email as well.
